A Refreshing Approach to Blister Packaging.

Background:
With the recent acquisition of the Binaca line of breath sprays, it was determined that a complete package redesign was necessary to improve the products position in the marketplace. The team faced the unique challenge of a complete packaging overhaul and minimizing the cost of retooling. All of the packaging had to be produced, filled and shipped within tight timeframes in order to improve shelf impact and stand apart from the competition.

Solution:
During design development, dozens of concepts and samples were considered before coming up with the final approvals. Both the Binaca and Transparent Container teams worked closely to ensure that all design requirements and engineering issues were addressed early on in the process.

In order to keep tooling cost to a minimum, the Transparent Container Combo Blister® program was utilized. Transparent Container also provided the heat seal tooling and on-site technical support for the co-packers who were fulfilling the end product. Furthermore, our Safety Stock program was implemented in order to insure that product is always available for the co-packers.

This entire project highlighted our capabilities in design, tooling, manu-facturing and distribution, offering customers a turnkey solution through a single-source supplier. The new packages jump off the shelf, helping Binaca Fast Blast stand out in the crowded retail environment.
