TCC is hiring for the following positions.    

 

Packaging Supervisor:  Conyers, GA

In Summary:  Continuously monitors packaging activities to assure efficiencies as well as quality.  In addition this position has a level of decision making and supervises line employees. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Modify job descriptions and work procedures for packers, production, quality and service as needed.  Practice continuous improvement strategies assuring that such strategies result in improved customer satisfaction and company profitability
  • Train, supervise, motivate and evaluate packers
  • Determine the number of temporary workers required to run the published production packaging schedule 
  • Continually monitor packaging activities and support services in order to improve quality and to main efficiencies 
  • Maintain the packaging schedule and control policies; enter all production data into the company's data processing system.  Maintain logbooks and daily reports; generate machine reports 
  • Recommends purchase of supplies and equipment to production manager and production supervisors 
  • Coordinate purchase and inventory procedures with other shift supervisors 
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of materials
  • Assure that all employees work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations.  Implement the STOP safety program.  Assure that the production area is kept clean and free of debris.  Attend safety meetings
  • Maintain effective communications within the department, other shifts, and other departments by attending meetings, writing clear memorandums and verbally communicating in a clear and concise manner.  Maintain effective communications and good will with vendors
  • Evaluate and respond to customer and internal complaints and complete corrective and preventative action forms.  Assure that corrections and preventative actions are implemented 

 Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • Understanding of documentation required for production (Work Orders) and the labels, tickets and tags used for raw material and finished product identification.  How to generate documentation and the disposition of forms and documents
  • Understand the procedures for inspection and installation of tooling and how to make detailed thermoforming machine adjustments
  • Understand how to assess finished goods quality and conformance to specifications and customer requirements
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, prints, and schematics and required to set up packaging lines according to the line layout drawing
  • Understanding of basic safety policies, safety equipment and illness and injury procedures
  • Knowledge of cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid
  • Understanding of basic business communications including speaking and listening and the dynamics of verbal communication on the job.  How to effectively deal with people

 

Senior Conceptual Packaging Designer:  Addison, IL

In Summary:  Research market trends in retail thermoformed and printed plastic packaging; visualize new packaging directions for companies and brands and design those offerings; demonstrate various levels of technical design outputs including photo-realistic color renderings, 3D CAD models and high end hand sketched designs using 3D Studio Max, Solidworks CAD, Photoshop and Illustrator. 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Master's Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Design and one year of experience in the job offered or one year of work experience or research experience in industrial packaging design.  Special requirements - Experience with 3D Studio Max modeling and rendering capability, Solidworks CAD modeling, hand sketching, Photoshop and Illustrator.

 

Manufacturing Division Coordinator:  Conyers, GA

In Summary:  Handle functions in support of the plant manager, sales staff, scheduling and inventory, while coordinating the work flow within or between departments to expedite production.  This description does not encompass the job responsibilities in its entirety; other duties apply in order to perform the job to its fullest in order to meet customers' needs; additional / other duties may be assigned. 

Essential Functions and Duties

QUOTING:

  • Reviews all quotes that must be handled from the Conyers office

GENERAL / ADMINSTRATIVE

  • Responsible for disposition, receipt, and storage of all divisional data and material related to samples, orders, PO's, invoicing, etc.
  • Reviews, updates, and enters Bill of Materials, Routers, Standard Cost, and router information, etc., into KBM
  • Negotiate raw material pricing, forecast demand, and generate purchase order to support production activities
  • Coordinate internal and multidivisional projects (contract packaging, quotes, orders, etc.)
  • Facilitate monthly and quarterly inventory
  • Identify problems and implement solutions in system procedures or policies as they relate to the sales-manufacturing interface
  • Liaison with salespeople, remote sales assistants, and internal departments
  • Support remote sales assistants with respect to the customer requests, tooling dates, production dates, and any other information that is required
  • Act as a liaison between all remote sales assistants and all internal departments
  • Direct communication with customers is to be handled by the sales assistant or sales representative unless otherwise specified
  • Conduct work to ISO standards up to and including performing internal audits

General understanding of the following:

  • Basic measuring equipment including micrometers and scales
  • Computer skills:  mainframe system, Excel, Word, QS9000, Lotus Notes

Requirements

  • Minimum three year experience in related field with two-year business degree or equivalent combination.  Computer literate:  Excel, Word, and miscellaneous communication applications
  • Knowledge of Purchasing Principles
  • Ability to read and interpret documents:  safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Articulate in the English language:  verbal and written
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Self-directed with strong attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through
  • Proven interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
